About the client

A luxury smart village: a managed residential development with extensive home automation, on-site amenities and a concierge service, where residents pay a premium for a frictionless experience.

The challenge

The village had been built to a high specification, and every subsystem arrived with its own app — one for home automation, another for amenity bookings, a third for service requests, plus phone and email for anything that didn't fit.

For residents paying a premium for a frictionless experience, the fragmentation was the product's weakest point. Doing anything meant knowing which app owned it, and anything spanning two subsystems meant calling the office.

For the operator it meant no coherent record. Requests arrived across channels with no shared history, so service was reactive by construction — nobody could see a resident's pattern well enough to anticipate anything.

The solution

We treated the village as one ecosystem rather than a set of integrated subsystems. The unified data layer came first: residents, units, amenities, automation devices, vendors and requests in a single model.
